Requirements:
- Candidates must have a BA or equivalent experience in an Information Technology field
- Proven technical skills with Java and related JEE technologies
- Demonstrated IT systems development expertise in current technology
- Successful track record in project management
- Excellent communication and team building skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to champion new ideas and effect change
- Experience with Rational Unified Process desirable
- Experience with CAS products is desirable
Duties:
The candidate will
- provide leadership for a unit of 8-12 staff and up to 4-10 contractors that develop new products or enhance existing products using C++, Java, WebLogic, JBoss, and related JEE technologies
- oversee projects in unit and provide technical oversight and leadership
- communicate with user management and IT management to assure project results
- provide staff with the tools and training they need and eliminate obstacles to success
- inspire, recognize, and motivate staff
- effectively implement process improvements and effect changes to reduce the cost and improve the timeliness of deliverables
