Network Systems Engineer

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, with at least 5 years of experience in data engineering
  • Experience with LAN/WAN Protocols, Circuits - T1, DS3, VPN Tunneling, SONET, ISP, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, HTTP, IP Classes, Multicast, NAT, LAN/WAN Hardware, CISCO Routers and Switches, Extreme Networks, Content Switches, F5 Load Balancing
  • IPv6 architecture and configuration is desired
  • Industry Certifications - CCNP, CCIE, etc. are also desired
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, and project management skills are required


Duties: 

The candidate will ensure network integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.  Monitors and tunes the network to achieve optimum performance levels.  Makes and decides on recommendations regarding forecasts, configurations, and budgets for network hardware and software systems. Serves as project leader in managing all phases of large and complex projects.  This includes planning, estimating resources and dates, assigning and tracking tasks, progress reporting, and meeting project schedules within budget.
