Scientific Information Analysts

CAS is the worlds leader in meeting the needs of scientists for chemical and related scientific information.  CAS scientists come from many nations and we are a microcosm of the scientific community that we serve.

We have several full-time positions available in analysis of the worlds chemical, materials, and life science literature, including patents and journals, for building the CAS databases. Responsibilities include analysis of documents, abstracting, indexing, and evaluation of chemical structures.

Candidates must have a BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry or one of the following areas:

Biochemistry
Chemical Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering
Organic Chemistry
Organometallic/Coordination Chemistry
Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Polymer Chemistry

The ability to read and translate Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, German, Russian, or other Slavic languages is highly desirable.
