Regional Marketing Manager, SIIL, Spain and Portugal

This position is for Science Information International Ltd. (SIIL) in Europe, representing CAS.  A subsidiary of the American Chemical Society, SIIL markets all CAS products and services in Europe. 

This position will be based in Spain and Portugal.

Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Masters degree or PhD in chemistry or related science
  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish; some knowledge of Portuguese preferred
  • Advanced or expert knowledge of CAS databases
  • Knowledge of MS Office is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in direct customer contact work preferred

Duties

The candidate is responsible for maintaining and increasing revenue through personal selling. This includes penetration of assigned current and potential customer organizations and/or regions, enhancing customer satisfaction, gathering and communicating market information to CAS and SIIL staff. 

Candidates will consult with customers to find the right solution to their information needs, develop a sales and support strategy for existing and new customers in their territory, and train customers how to effectively use CAS products and services.

The candidate will be based in Spain.

Travel approximately 50-65%.
