Storage Administrator

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Computer and Information Science or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of IT work experience required, preferably in a storage administrator position.
  • Experience with Linux, Solaris, and/or Windows systems administration would be a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and planning skills with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
  • Customer service oriented with solid understanding of critical business functions.

Duties: 

This position will serve as a member of the CAS IT storage team that designs, configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades data storage technologies.  Also, this group designs, configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades data protection technologies that provide for routine backup and recovery of information as well as disaster recovery data protection.  Operating platforms to be supported include Red Hat-based Linux, Solaris, Windows, and z/OS.  Data storage platforms to be supported include solutions from EMC and Hitachi Data Systems.
