STN Express provides powerful tools for analysis of chemistry and intellectual property information. Easily mine large data sets, look for trends, and create graphical depictions of data for use in reports and presentations.

Features and Benefits
STN Express provides a choice between searching with command language or using wizards. Discover! wizards:
- Allow information professionals, unfamiliar with STN, to easily search the full range of STN databases
- Assist end users, unfamiliar with online command-based searching, to perform effective searches with little or no training
- Reduce the time required for product support by those who must provide it to users at their organizations
Enhanced results analysis:
- Create a table for substance analysis that identifies the common substructure for an answer set of structurally related substances, including multi-component substances from CAS REGISTRYSM with variable R-group locations identified using the Variable Group Analysis Table Tool
- Group related author/inventor names and company names for better analysis and visualization results using the Data Group Tool within the Analyze Plus Wizard
- Analyze and tabulate data from single- or multi-file search results, and create a data table and 3-D chart using the Analyze Wizard
- Save an answer set from databases such as CAplusSM, PCTFULL, and USPATFULL with the Save for STN AnaVist Wizard, and then import and open it with STN AnaVist interactive analysis and visualization software
- Display documents from STN AnaVist with the Display Answers from STN AnaVist Wizard
- Retrieve full-text patent documents and send them to STN Viewer for management and in-depth evaluation
- New! - Create a fully-functional L-number from a saved STN AnaVist answer set
Increased security:
- Encrypt information sent over the Internet with embedded software that uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm, provided by RSA Security Inc., with 128-bit encryption keys
- Encrypt the information sent over the Internet by connecting to STN through a Secured Socket Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) during your session
Easier access to content:
- Create an interactive spreadsheet from all or only hit CAS Registry Numbers and their corresponding CAS Roles through the CAS Registry Number and Role Report Wizard
- Upload lengthy genetic sequences automatically for searching in DGENE, PCTGEN, and USGENE via the Upload Query Wizard
Improved post-processing:
- Merge family members into a single row in the Table Tool, allowing the specified number of Patent/Priority/Application Numbers (if selected) to appear listed in the same cell for records with more than one Patent, Priority, or Application entry
