Harold Boone is the Research Director of Intellectual Capital Management for Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics and Hydrocarbons Division. He joined Dow in 1996 as a Sr. Research Chemist initially studying perfluoroaryl ether polymers as interlayer dielectric materials. He later joined Dow’s Polyolefins Catalyst R&D group investigating group IV post-metallocene polymerization catalysts. He subsequently held numerous leadership positions for catalysis, product, and process R&D groups at Dow. Under his leadership new laboratories inShanghai, China for product, application development, and polymer processingR&D were established. In 2022, he was named to his current role asR&D Director for Intellectual Capital Management. Harold earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Missouri State University and a Ph.D. in chemistry from The University of Arizona. He is the author of 20 journal publications, and 13 US patents with 5 pending. He currently serves on the board of chemical advisors for Missouri State University.
