Great C. Umenweke

Great is a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Kentucky Department of Chemistry and a research assistant at the Center for Applied Energy Research, specializing in catalysis and sustainable fuels. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering in Nigeria in 2017. In 2022, he studied X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis of bimetallic catalysts in France. Great has received awards from the ACS and North American Catalysis Society, and presented at multiple conferences, including the 18th International Congress on Catalysis, where he earned the Young Talent label. He aims to continue his early-career research in sustainable catalysis.
