Reginaldo J. Gomes

Reginaldo is from Salvador, Brazil, and earned his B.Sc. in chemical engineering from the University of Campinas. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in molecular engineering at the University of Chicago, working under the supervision of Prof. Chibueze Amanchukwu. His research focuses on advancing nonaqueous electrocatalysis by tuning reaction microenvironments to enhance energy-related transformations, such as CO₂ reduction and hydrogen evolution. With experience in both academia and industry and a passion for mentorship and collaboration, Reginaldo aims to pursue a career that integrates research, teaching, and industry partnerships to drive sustainable technological advancements.
