Zhi is currently a postdoctoral scholar working with Prof. Jim Wells in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at UCSF. Her research focuses on the development and application of novel proximity labeling proteomics tools for interactomics and mechanistic studies in cancer and immunology. Zhi received her B.S. in chemistry from Peking University, working on bioorthogonal decaging reactions with Prof. Peng Chen. She then obtained her Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Christina Woo from the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University, where she used chemical proteomics and biochemical techniques to investigate mechanisms of lenalidomide and other molecular degraders.
