TechTAP is a program designed to introduce high-potential, early career professionals to multiple functional areas within CAS Technology to learn different perspectives and expand their network. The two-year program consists of four six-month rotations targeted at providing a broad understanding of the organization that will support deep discipline expertise developed in a chosen area of focus.  Augmented with leadership training and workshops, the program serves to identify

Rotation options include:

- Application solution development
- Data analytics and insights
- Enterprise information security
- Big data processing
- Content Engineering
- Infrastructure services
- Operations platform engineering

Program qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following IT-related STEM majors:

  • Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Computer and Information Science, Computer information Systems, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology,   MIS, Information Technology Management, IT Security, Cybersecurity, Security and Risk Analysis
  • Data Analytics, Data Analysis

Candidates must also have:

  • No more than 24 months of post-graduation technology-related work experience.
  • A strong desire to learn about multiple functional areas within CAS.

Post programs

The investment in CAS TechTAP Engineers continues after graduating from the two-year program with continued learning and specialized networking opportunities with individuals at all levels of the organization. TechTAP is designed to accelerate the technical and leadership skills of early-career professionals. It is anticipated that participation in this program will enhance an employee's opportunity for career advancement.

Mentoring

Participants will be enrolled in the CAS Mentoring Program and expertly matched with a mentor within the Technology Division.

Instructor-led training

The functional experience and training received through the program is augmented with leadership skills training that will allow TechTAP participants to gain perspective, expand their knowledge, and build relationships throughout Technology. Participants will attend modules of instructor-led training aimed at accelerating leadership development.

Executive leadership networking

Throughout the two-year program, TechTAP participants will be given opportunities to meet with members of the CAS Executive Team and engage in discussions to understand leadership perspective. TechTAP participants gain insight on initiatives occurring within different areas of the organization, learn where Technology impacts outcomes, and build relationships with executives. These relationships create greater access to knowledge and people for a wider pool of relevant expertise, experience, skills, and networks.
