César A. Urbina-Blanco

César was born in Venezuela and studied chemistry at Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela). He completed his Ph.D. in organometallic chemistry and catalysis at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) under the supervision of Prof. Steven P. Nolan. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) with Profs. Walter Leitner and Jürgen Klankermayer. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University under the supervision of Prof. Mark Saeys. His research focuses on the development of new catalysts to transform CO₂ into valuable chemicals and elucidating reaction mechanisms.
