CAS SciFinder® enhancements
We know being aware of upcoming enhancements to CAS SciFinder is important to you. To help ensure you are prepared to handle questions you may receive from your users when changes occur, we will provide a preview version of the latest release notes below.
Expect a new set of notes to be posted approximately one week prior to each release, which are scheduled every four weeks. Be aware that there may be an occasional change not included in this preview since they are being prepared before the release is final. As always, final release notes will be added to the What’s New? section in the CAS SciFinder solution in conjunction with the actual release.

Features
Search Enhancement: Are You Looking for Reactions?
Searching in CAS SciFinder has been enhanced with a new feature to detect when reaction content is desired and provide a quick navigation to review the reaction(s). When reaction intent is detected in the query, a new interaction will be displayed allowing users to navigate directly to the reaction or reactions identified.
Retrosynthesis Enhancement: Synthetic Depth Elimination
Retrosynthesis planning in CAS SciFinder has been improved with the elimination of synthetic depth.
The synthetic depth limit elimination will expand options for plans presented to users and allow users to find synthetic routes for large molecules requiring sequences of predicted steps.
Retrosynthesis Enhancement: Plan Options and Scoring Profile Improvements
Creating retrosynthesis plans in CAS SciFinder has been simplified with improvements to the plan options page, including removal of synthetic depth options and improved labeling.
In addition, scoring profiles have been removed from the Plan results page to improve usability.
